Woohoo…officially put on a new size of pants today and they fit. My belt is out of notches for me to make it smaller now. Kind of cheated last night but my weight watcher points said I didnt…I had gnocchi with pork bites, mushrooms, and a red sauce. Oh and a roll…it said I had enough points but man it felt like cheating.
The bursitis still hurts my hip — hoping this weight loss helps it. Sucks not being able to walk or stand for long periods of time, hell even short periods it hurts.
Still need to fix my bike…last ride I went on I popped a back spoke and my aero bars came unglued. That was the motivation to start this diet plus my clothes weren’t fitting any more. Now my clothes aren’t fitting for the RIGHT reason!
Another reason for the diet is much more sad. A guy I used to work with at the beer company had a major heart attack. 100% blockage…last I heard was that he was on paralytics and they had lowered his core temperature in an effort to save his brain. I haven’t heard any update in a week but last I heard the news wasn’t great. He was overweight, didn’t work out, and didn’t eat right….sounded to familiar to me and it hit to close to home. My daughter who is 6 (7 in 2 weeks) is too important to me to not be around for her because I choose to make bad choices. Sure I could get hit by a car or slip in the shower, but this is something I can control and have made the choice to do so.

So I’ve gained a pound or two (or 50) in the past while. 6 weeks ago I started Weight Watchers and to date have to date lost 25 pounds. I just started the exercise this last week and did pretty well (42 activity points for those who know anything about the WW system) but only lost a pound last week — disappointing to say the least but it was a lose.
I don’t know if I’m not eating enough or what. I didn’t cheat at all so not sure how adding exercise and not cheating slowed me down. Don’t give me the muscle weighs more than fat … What weighs more 5 lbs of fat or 5 lbs of muscle…..
Need to start eating more healthier…more chicken, more veggies, etc, etc and stay with the exercise.
